I worked across many different charities and causes before going freelance in 2021.

Those roles were rarely easy. Running a charity is among the toughest leadership challenges today: scarce resources, precarious funding, competing demands from multiple stakeholders, and constant pressure to uphold the highest ethical standards. I know first-hand how demanding it is to deliver impact in that environment.

What I carry forward is a deep understanding of the voluntary sector and how it functions - in addition to the assets that make me a strong ally to leaders: extensive, trusted networks, a toolbox full of innovative solutions and striking, original thinking to help cut through the thorniest challenges.

I’ve held senior roles across many diverse non-profit organisations — leading programmes, shaping policy, building partnerships and developing new income streams.

Today, as an independent consultant I specialise in strategy and solutions in volunteering and the voluntary sector more broadly: reimagining programmes, fixing structures and delivering campaigns that drive growth and boost capacity.

My significant time as a trustee/chair adds a valuable governance perspective, and it’s this breadth of experience that helps me identify and leverage the things others often overlook into tangible value and impact for those I support.
