Hello, and thanks for visiting.
I’m a multi-disciplinary, strategic implementer that helps non-profits and social causes to grow and thrive by unearthing fresh value from their most intangible assets - often their networks, partnerships, reputation or volunteering programme.
Why me?
I spent twenty years working for many different charities and causes, across England and Wales, before going freelance in 2021.
My staff roles were rarely easy or comfortable. But what I gained was a deep, under-the-bonnet understanding of the non-profit business model - for my money the hardest sector of all in which to operate, working with scare resources, patchy finance, multiple stakeholders and the highest ethical standards.
This equipped me with a range of unique and valuable assets I can bring to bear in the service of your mission or challenge: great networks, a toolbox full of innovative solutions and - most importantly - striking, original thinking.

Professional background
I’ve worked in many types of charity, focused on everything from disability to community development, as well as local, regional and national voluntary sector infrastructure bodies.
In these roles I've run departments, delivered major programmes, built teams, developed new income streams, shaped national policy and created some amazing partnerships.
As a freelancer I tend to specialise in strategy and solutions for volunteer-involving organisations, reimagining their programmes and fixing their structural issues, or working with larger partnerships to design and deliver volunteering campaigns aimed at growth, awareness, capacity building or infrastructure.
And as a serial Trustee/Chair I seen all of these challenges from a governance perspective, helping me build new charities from scratch, or take existing ones to the next level.
It’s this breadth of skills, experience and networks, forged in pressurised environments with minimal resources, that allows me to create tangible new value for those I support.
Something on your mind?
I’d love to hear more about the challenges you’re facing, and what you’d like to do about them. I think I can help.
